Piano Master Classes with John Bloomfield

On Saturday, December 14, 2013, widely-acclaimed pianist and pedagogue, John Bloomfield traveled from New York City to Hoover, Alabama to present several piano master classes for students at McLelland Piano Studio.

Bloomfield is co-founder, senior director, and faculty chair of the Golandsky Piano Institute which is "the preeminent center for the Taubman Approach which instructs pianists in the art of coordinate movement, giving them the tools to play with brilliance and ease." --- www.GolandskyInstitute.org

In demand as a pedagogue and clinician, Bloomfield has lectured and taught at a number of colleges and universities. He was invited several times to teach in Taiwan and has been a featured presenter at Breckenridge Music Institute, numerous state MTA conferences, and MTNA National conferences. In January, 2014, he will be teaching in Brisbane, Australia.

Mr. Bloomfield maintains a studio in New York City and travels regularly to Portland, Atlanta, and the San Francisco Bay Area to consult and give lessons. He is the faculty chair of the Golandsky Piano Institute's Summer Symposium held at Princeton University, NJ.
